Investment Objective:
The Amber Fund takes a value-based approach towards investments and seeks long term investment returns, with low volatility and low correlation with the stock and bond markets.
The Amber Fund Approach:
The investment professionals at Amber Capital identify companies that are undervalued on an absolute basis or that are attractively valued relative to the sector or the broader market. The investment professionals monitor economic factors, market trends as well as the competitive landscape and assess market-related or sector-related risks to supplement their bottom-up company analysis. The goal is to attain a thorough understanding of a market sector and of each company in that sector (including management teams) in order to identify companies that can unlock perceived value in the foreseeable future. The investment philosophy is based on deep fundamental research, with the Fund often maintaining positions over a multi-year horizon.
Geographic Exposure:
The Fund's investments span all market capitalizations, with over 70% of investments based in Europe and the balance based in the US & Canada.
